What you'll learn...
- How to explore the concept of values
- Insight into the role values play in decision-making.
- A taste of the process and practices that help identify competing values and help create successful collaborations
We all make decisions all the time. Some decisions are born out of routine, some are personal, some are strategic, some are in response to an emergency. Any time we act one way over an other we make a decision.
For some of our decisions we undertake a lot of thinking, reasoning and deliberation. Others we make based on instinct or routine. However we don’t often question what underpins those decisions…
In this workshop we’ll make a decision. Together. You’ll be on an island. You’ll decide about life and death. It will be playful and it will be fun.
We’ll use our time on our fictional island to pry open the can of worms that is our personal set of values.
In any collaboration or negotiation, values are at the heart of perceived success or failure. When a person’s values are matched, they feel complete and satisfied. If values are not met, there is a sense of dissatisfaction, unease or incongruity.
This workshop gives you an opportunity to explore some of your values and encounter those of others. Together we can explore what our values mean to us and how that influences the kind of change we want to see in the world.
